Description
This unique training will equip participants to facilitate the flexible, learner-centered Food Smarts for College Students.
This training includes approximately three hours of self-paced work (e.g., videos, activities, readings) and two 2-hour live Zoom sessions (see the schedule below).
- Self-Paced Course Opens: February 11
- Registration Closes: February 24
- Live Zoom Sessions: February 25 & March 11, 2026; Times: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. PT
Participants will:
- Learn how to implement Food Smarts for College Students.
- Identify unique lifestyle circumstances and needs of college students and young adults.
- Explore how positive and adverse experiences uniquely impact the nourishment and well-being of college students and young adults.
- Develop trauma-informed engagement and facilitation strategies that resonate with the experiences and needs of college students and young adults.
- Gain skills to effectively lead recipe demonstrations and group cooking activities tailored to the preferences, resources, and environments of college students and young adults.
Registered participants will receive additional communication from our online training platform, TalentLMS, starting in early February with more details and access to the course.
