Description:

Connecting the Dots - Basics Training is designed for newer CFHL staff. This is a self-paced course and two live session training that will provide the "big picture" and introduce foundational models, plans, and frameworks of CFHL. Participants will learn how to build programming aligned with the CFHL principles, priorities, goals and objectives.

During this training, participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of the basic building blocks of CFHL.
  • Learn the CFHL program structure and how local programs fit into the state program, including CFHL priorities, principles, goals, and objectives.
  • Integrate foundational frameworks that guide program planning of nutrition education activities, assessments, and policy, systems, and environmental change strategies.
  • Develop ways to build programs that consider how programs can be built to support health and racial equity in local communities.
