Catholic Charities of California CFHL Wind Down Planning Toolkit

Updated on:

This guidance outlines the phased wind-down of SNAP-Ed programming from October 2025 through June 2026. The purpose is to ensure a responsible, transparent, and sustainable transition that honors the investments of staff, partners, and communities while positioning local organizations to carry forward the work. Core guiding principles in this guidance include:
-Community Empowerment: Supporting partners to lead nutrition and wellness initiatives independently.
-Sustainability: Preserving resources, knowledge, and PSE projects so that communities benefit well beyond the program’s conclusion.
-Ethical Transition: Ensuring staff and partners are supported through transparent communication and professional development opportunities.
-Resource Connection: Linking community partners to new collaborators, funders, and networks to sustain momentum.
-Resource Preservation: Archiving curricula, toolkits, and program documentation to create an accessible resource library for future use.
