Description

Learning Collaborative Focus:
The CFHL Equity Framework includes three transformative goals - Community, Capacity, and Program. This collaborative will focus on the Community Transformative Goal and its corresponding subgoals and strategies. Participants will learn from subject matter experts and peers to strengthen their skills in community engagement, collaboration, and PSE program design.

Collaborative Objectives:

By the end of this learning collaborative, participants will be able to:

  1. Develop and Implement Relationship-Building Strategies: Participants will identify at least two strategies for developing and sustaining authentic relationships with community members and partners to implement, ensuring alignment with community-driven program needs.
  2. Facilitate Community Engagement in Policy and Systems Change: Participants will demonstrate at least one practical approach to apply for meaningfully involving community members in policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) change strategies, fostering shared decision-making.
  3. Evaluate and Enhance Community Leadership in CFHL Efforts: Participants will assess current practices using the Spectrum of Community Engagement to Ownership and develop an action plan to shift power toward community leadership in at least one program area.

Collaborative Structure:

Self-Paced Work: In between each Zoom session, participants will complete approximately 60 minutes of self-paced work via the CFHL Training Platform (TalentLMS.) If you are participating as an agency or jurisdiction team, there will also be opportunities to work on a team initiative between sessions.

Virtual Live Session: Expand on the content explored in the self-paced work through group and team-building activities, cross-team collaboration, and sharing. They will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. PST on:

  • Thursday, April 17
  • Thursday, May 1
  • Thursday, May 15
  • Thursday, May 29

Who Should Join?

There are two ways to participate:

Join as a team: If two or more people from the same agency or jurisdiction register, they will form a team and collaborate on an initiative throughout the program.

Join as an individual: If you’re the only participant from your agency or jurisdiction, you’ll be paired with other individual registrants for team-based activities.

Once registered, participants will receive a welcome email with more details about the collaborative schedule, self-paced work, and virtual sessions. Please have each participating team member complete this registration form individually.
